About Me

Hello! I’m Candy.

I’ve been vegan for 3 years and was vegetarian for about a year prior. Prior to that, my diet before was extremely meat-heavy, the only vegetable I ate was the lettuce on my burgers, and my idea of cooking was making instant ramen.

Although I couldn’t even commit to a full Meatless Monday, I’ve always been passionate about saving animals and the environment. I always envisioned that one day I would go vegan – just not today. I told myself that going vegan would make my life harder and that I wasn’t ready to make the commitment just yet. It finally occurred to me that this dissonance between my values and my actions was holding me back from living true to myself for so many years.

Being vegan has empowered me to live a healthy, conscious-driven life and to stop making excuses for not doing what I know is right. With these recipes, I hope you’ll see that it’s so much easier than you think to go vegan and to finally align your heart with your actions.
